Beef Stew with Dried Figs


Ingredients:

  • - 1 Lb. Stew Meat
  • - 1/2 TSP Salt
  • - 1/2 TSP Pepper
  • - 1 TSP Garlic Powder
  • - 1 TSP unsweetened Chocolate powder
  • - 1/2 Onion, sliced
  • - 4 Carrots, sliced
  • - 4 Dried Figs, whole
  • - 1 TSP dried Rosemary
  • - 1/2 TSP Smoked Paprika
  • - 1/4 TSP Cinnamon
  • - 3 oz. Tomato Paste

  • Method:

      Brown stew meat in coconut oil, bacon grease or tallow while stirring in salt, pepper, garlic powder and unsweetened chocolate powder. Once browned, remove from heat. Layer onions, carrots and figs in crock pot. Add stew meat on top. Top with remaining ingredients and cook on low for 6-8 hours (until meat is tender and carrots are cooked).
