Soaked & Dehydrated Nuts


Ingredients:

  • - 4 cups Nuts (Pecan, Cashew or Almond)
  • - Sea Salt
  • - Filtered Water

  • Method:

      Fill a large mixing bowl half full of filtered water. Add sea salt and mix until dissolved (see note below for salt measurement). Add nuts and top off with filtered water as needed. Soak for the prescribed amount of time (see note below). Drain and layer in dehydrator or on an oven sheet. Do not pile up nuts or they will dehydrate unevenly. Dehydrate according to manufacturer's directions (or in the oven per noted temperatures below). Dehydration will take 12 - 24 hours - check frequently beginning at 12 hours.

      NOTE:

    • Almonds: 1 TBSP Sea Salt; soak for a minimum of 7 hours; dehydrate at 105 - 150 degrees.
    • Pecans: 2 TSP Sea Salt; soak for a minimum of 7 hours; dehydrate at 105 - 150 degrees.
    • Cashews: 1 TBSP Sea Salt; soak for NO LONGER than 6 hours; dehydrate at 200 - 250 degrees
